ELLE’s 2023 Women of Impact
Celebrating women who are making their mark on the world right now, ELLE Women of Impact is the first-ever Impact Issue that aims to use ELLE’s platform to make a difference and amplify the voices of women making positive change.
Hearst Magazines’ annual internal and external programming gives colleagues the opportunity to engage with and impact their communities in authentic ways.

Enlightened
Enlightened is Hearst Magazines’ diversity, equity, and inclusion programming. The curriculum is co-created with industry-leading experts and delivers impactful content around various dimensions of diversity — ability, age, faith, gender, gender identity, race and sexual orientation.
The purpose of Enlightened is to help engage employees in conversation around dimensions of diversity that ultimately influence their behaviors in the workplace. It’s another way Hearst Magazines equips leaders with tools for managing inclusive teams and sets a new standard for creating an inclusive workplace.
Since its inception in 2020, 46% of all leaders within Magazines have participated in this voluntary inclusive leadership training.
In 2022, Enlightened focused on psychological safety, mental health and neurodiversity and impacted 450 individuals.

Founded by Glenn Singleton, Courageous Conversations provides training, coaching and consulting to transform beliefs, behaviors and results so people of all races can achieve at their highest levels and live their most empowered and powerful lives.

As a dynamic media force, GLAAD ensures fair, accurate, and inclusive representation that rewrites the script for LGBTQ+ acceptance. GLAAD tackles tough issues to shape the narrative and provoke dialogue that leads to cultural change.

Underpinned by four core pillars of mental health, wellbeing, development and leadership, PUSH Mind & Body uses data-driven insight to build highly personalized programs of live training, one-to-one coaching and digital tools that we know your people want and need.

Tanenbaum combats religious prejudice, confronts hate and builds respect for religious difference by transforming individuals and institutions.

Multicultural Advertising Intern Program (MAIP)
Hearst Magazines partnered with MAIP to host 2 interns during our 11-week summer program. MAIP offers multicultural students a unique paid, full-time summer internship at 4A’s participating agencies and organizations nationwide, combining real-world work experience and networking opportunities within the media industry.
Hearst Magazines engages with public and private partners to further its DE&I mission.
ADCOLOR
ADCOLOR is a premier diversity and inclusion organization whose mission is to celebrate and champion diversity in creative industries. ADCOLOR hosts their annual ADCOLOR Everywhere conference, a gathering for professionals at all levels, bringing together esteemed leaders in the creative industries for thought leadership, networking and engagement opportunities. Hearst Magazines was a Community Partner for this year’s ADCOLOR Conference and worked in partnership with our hAAPI ERG and the Asians for ADCOLOR community group to support their panel “More Stories to Tell: Unifying Asian Americans Through Media.”
The Center for Communication
The Center for Communication promotes diversity in media by providing students with the knowledge, skills and connections they need to succeed in the media industry. Hearst Magazines has participated in CFC’s career fairs, panels and networking events, including their Diversity + Media Career Summit and the Women + Media Career Summit.
